How to choose the right Disney hotel - Disneyland Paris edition

How do I choose the right Disneyland Paris hotel?

Booking a hotel for Disneyland Paris can feel a bit stressful. Don't go booking a hotel that breaks the bank (unless you don't mind being in debt). Look at the options available, Disney have a variety available to meet most budgets and interests. I'm going to break down the hotels that I've stayed at.

Disney Hotel Santa Fe - 2 Star Hotel

This is one I've stayed at a couple of times. It's a good hotel. As you can gage from the picture above, it's based on Pixar's Cars movies. It's heavily themed and has a large restaurant area which we only used for breakfast. You can walk from this hotel to the parks, but it's a bit of a trek, so it's easier to get the free shuttle bus to the parks.
This is a great option if you're going to be spending the majority of your day at the parks, rather than at the hotel.

Disney Hotel Cheyenne - 3 Star Hotel

I stayed at this one when I wasn't very old, so I don't really remember it, but going to include it nevertheless. It has a Wild West theme throughout, with the addition of Woody and Jessie from the Toy Story movies. This hotel does cost a bit more than the Santa Fe. This is close to the Santa Fe, so again it's easier to get the free shuttle bus to the parks, rather than walking.

Disney Newport Bay Club - 4 Star Hotel

This is the hotel I've stayed at the most at DLP. This isn't a heavily Disney themed hotel, but does have touches of Mickey Mouse and has a wonderful nautical theme throughout. There are different dining options here, including bars. This hotel also has a pool, which sadly I've never been in! This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Disney Village, but does also have buses available to the parks.

Things to consider when booking a hotel

Different themes

Each Disney hotel has a different theme, so if you have a huge Marvel fan in your travel group, Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel could be one you consider staying at.

Different price ranges

The main thing for me when choosing a hotel at DLP is cost. Often when at DLP I'm getting up in the morning and staying out all day at the parks, so I'm looking for a room where I can lay my head, rather than amenities at the resort.
There are plenty of hotels available at DLP, including partner hotels, that are typically cheaper than the Disney hotels.

Choose a hotel that meets your needs

The most important thing when looking at hotels is finding a hotel that meets your needs. Look at price, hotel amenities, closeness to the parks, theming etc. Only you can decide which hotel ticks the majority or all of your boxes!

Just remember that it isn't worth getting into debt or getting stressed over a Disney holiday. You know your needs and you do you!

See you soon!
