The Disney Packing List

What to pack for a Disney holiday

If you're reading this then you've most likely booked a Disney holiday and a congratulations is in order! Or you could be reading this dreaming of a Disney holiday. So, what will you need to pack for a Disney holiday? All of the items I'm talking about in this post are items I would be packing in my main luggage, so my hold luggage, NOT my hand luggage. Let's find out what we should be packing!

🧦 The Essentials 🧦

First of all, I like to write out a list, starting with the essentials. If you're travelling with Type 1 Diabetes, go and check out my last post about the items you need to pack for any trip: What to pack for a holiday with Type One Diabetes - The Basics

So, the essentials. What are they? Medication specifics aside these are the items I believe are your essentials for any trip:

  • Undies
  • Socks
  • Clothes
  • Shoes
  • PJs
  • Toiletries
    • toothbrush and toothpaste
    • shampoo and conditioner
    • soap/shower gel
    • deodorant
    • suncream and after sun
    • aftershave/perfume
    • any haircare products
  • Hair brush and hair ties
  • Glasses (for the glasses wearers)
  • Sunglasses
Now all of those should go without saying! They're definitely all essential for any trip you go on.

💊 The Overlooked Essentials 💊

Next up we have the overlooked essentials. These are items you may not think of packing, but in my experience you will often need them at some point whilst you're on holiday.
  • Paracetamol
  • Ibuprofen
  • Hayfever tablets
  • Diarrhoea tablets
  • Travel sickness tablets
  • A nail kit
  • Blister plasters
  • Sanitary pads/tampons
  • Resealable food bags -
    • these are great for putting your phone in when going on water rides or if you have any leftover snacks from your park day

    🔌 The Electrical List 🔌

    • Phone charger
    • Smart watch charger
    • Travel hairdryer
    • Camera charger (if you pack a separate camera)
    • AA Batteries -
      • these can come in handy for any handheld items that aren't rechargeable or children's toys
    • Travel adapter with extension lead -
      • this will save you from buying lots of expensive adapters!

    🏰 Disney Items 🏰

If you're like me, this is the most important part!
    • Disney outfits -
      • these can be Disney tees, dresses or if you're Disney bounding (dressing similarly to a character) a whole outfit!
    • Minnie Mouse ears and Mickey ear hats -
      • to go with those important Disney outfits
    • Disney jewellery
    • Disney baseball cap -
      • you can buy these in the parks or pack ahead of time. It's important to remember a hat when at Disney, especially if you're going during summer because you don't want to get a burnt head!
    • Disney bag -
      • I personally love using a Loungefly backpack as well as packing my Mickey Mouse bumbag
    • Disney pins -
      • if you're a pin trader you may want to pack your pins and lanyard for trading at the parks
    • Autograph book and pens -
      • collecting character autographs is a great thing to do for all ages. You can buy books and pens at the parks, but you can use any book and pen of your choice and pack these ahead of your trip
    • Glow sticks -
      • these are great for the nighttime fireworks

What will you be packing for your Disney trip? Please let me know if there is anything you swear by and pack for your trips!

    See you all soon!

    Louise
